Parents and Staff,
Chireno ISD was notified last night that a secondary student in the district tested positive for Covid-19. The student will be required to quarantine at home for the duration recommended by the CDC. We have contacted those that were in close contact in the past two days and they will quarantine for 14 days or they receive a negative test result after waiting 7 days.
All Chireno employees and students are instructed to continue to follow CDC and TEA guidelines and recommendations and to practice social distancing.
Out of an abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your health and contact your primary care physician if you develop symptoms.
Chireno ISD is continuing to monitor this situation and will provide additional information as needed.
