Important Message from the CISD school nurse!
Head Lice Procedure
Head Lice (All Grade Levels)
Head lice, although not an illness or a disease, is very common among children and is spread very easily through head-to-head contact during play, sports, or nap time and when children share things like brushes, combs, hats, and headphones.
If careful observation indicates that a student has head lice, the school nurse will contact the student’s parent to determine whether the child will need to be picked up from school and to discuss a plan for treatment with an FDA-approved medicated shampoo or cream rinse that may be purchased from any drug or grocery store.
After the student has undergone one treatment, the parent should check in with the school nurse to discuss the treatment used.
The nurse can also offer additional recommendations, including subsequent treatments and how best to get rid of lice and prevent their return.
More information on head lice can be obtained from the TDSHS website at http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/schoolhealth/lice.shtm

We hope you can make it out this evening and support our teams as they look to keep the winning momentum going!

Our Christmas Program will be December 17, 2021 at 8:30 am. Please look in your child's folder for a flyer with details. Christmas classroom parties for Pk-6 will be immediately following this event. Parents may attend these parties with your child. You may sign your child out as soon as the parties conclude. Reminder that we do dismiss early that day at 12:37. Regular dismissal procedures and times will be followed since this is a Friday.

We will be taking individual student pictures at this event. Please look for an order form to order a copy of these pictures.
