This is a make up game from this past Friday that was postponed due to weather. Congratulations to our Mighty Owls baseball squad for their big win over a good Joaquin Rams team. Our young men battled for a full seven innings and came away with a hard earned 8-5 road win. On Friday, our Mighty Owls will be back on the road at Gary High School where only the varsity will play at 6:00 pm. Meanwhile, our Lady Owls will travel south to Broaddus to take on the Lady Bulldogs. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm.

However, a few weeks ago, both of our teams hosted Joaquin at the beginning of district play. Also, congratulations to our senior Noble Scholars who were honored last night at the Nacogdoches County Noble Scholarship banquet at SFA. Chireno High School was proudly represented along with the other schools in Nacogdoches County.

Our Lady Owls are planning to make up this game against Timpson on Wednesday, April 2 at home. Our baseball game against Timpson is slated to be played tomorrow morning at Nacogdoches High School with the first pitch scheduled for 10:00 am.

We had several students place in the top six in their events. The evening was certainly highlighted by a 1, 2, 3 sweep in the 8th girls 400m dash and a thrilling first place finish in the 4x400m relay!
