Our ladies will play in the Joaquin Tournament beginning at 9:45 this morning. They will play again at 1:15 pm this afternoon and will follow the same schedule tomorrow. Our baseball team will be playing in the Douglass Tournament beginning today at 1:00 pm. This game will be played in Cushing with our second game today being played at Douglass at 6:00 pm. However, due to our Mighty Owls' Regional Semi-Final game in Slocum, only our softball team will be in action on the home diamond with a change in start time. This game has been moved up and will now get underway at 4:00 pm. The baseball game will be rescheduled for a later date. We hope you can make it out to the ball field and support our Lady Owls Softball team as they look to get off to a great start to the new season!

Chireno ISD Bond Election: The bond proposal for a new elementary school building will include the demolition of the old cafeteria building, which currently houses the school counselor's office, curriculum/federal programs director, and Art. It will also include the removal of the current elementary building and the maintenance office to make room for facility parking. The proposed elementary building will include the following:
Pre-K through 1st grade core instructional classrooms with attached restrooms
Instructional classrooms for 2nd and 3rd grades
Specialty instructional classrooms for small group instruction, reading intervention, student behavioral intervention, and space for testing
