To all Chireno parents and stakeholders: We want to make you aware that Chireno ISD was contacted by Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges this afternoon about an online threat that was made against schools in Nacogdoches County. Chireno ISD was not explicitly mentioned in this threat. As a precaution however, CISD administration took proactive steps to safeguard our students, faculty, and staff during school dismissal time this afternoon. We also had two officers from the Precinct 4 Constable's office as well as a highway patrol officer stationed on campus during this time. Chireno ISD would like to thank all Nacogdoches County law enforcement agencies and officers who responded so quickly to our campus and other schools in the county to help ensure the safety of students and school staff.
